Trump Appointee Demands States Roll Back Foster Parenting Rules That Aim to Protect LGBTQ+ Youth
In recent letters sent to New York, Vermont, Illinois, California, and Washington, Alex Adams, the new head of the federal Administration for Children and Families, said those states’ foster care policies that support gender-affirming care are unconstitutional. Adams argued that some qualified foster parents are being turned away because they do not agree with these requirements.
